What is your current role and where do you work?
I currently run Product Marketing at if(we), a social app company based in San Francisco. Our apps are used by over 300 Million people across the world. Prior to if(we) I was the Co-Founder and CEO of Bae a dating/social app.

How did you get into tech?
I started my career in tech at NBA, working on growing their app internationally. I then spent over 2 1/2 years at Nielsen helping our clients transition to mobile first content and providing insights/analysis before founding my own business.

What’s your favorite technology to work with and why?
Apps that make make millennials engaged and happy!

What project are you most proud to have worked on and why?
I am currently launching the world’s first life streaming app, WeChill. Shh, it will be available in mid November.

What do you see as the most interesting technology on the horizon?
I think the most interesting tech that will come out will be live streaming. This is the natural progression as people are more keen to document their lives then to curate them (like Instagram or Facebook)

If you weren’t working in tech, what would you be doing?
Before diving into tech, I was a kindergarten teacher. I would love to work with kids again.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in your tech career?
Always offer to help, always ask to learn.

What can companies do to create more inclusive environments?
I think companies need to expand their thinking. Some companies are short sighted in that they do not hire outside of their core competency.

What keeps you busy when you’re not being a technologist?
I enjoy trying new restaurants, advising startups and traveling. I am writing this from Berlin in fact!
