What is your current role and where do you work?
I am the Co-Founder of Silicon Harlem.

How did you get into tech?
I was the first Ford Fellow in Educational Technology in the country in 1987.

What’s your favorite technology to work with and why?
I like digital information technologies because they allow you to create every other technology.

What project are you most proud to have worked on and why?
Silicon Harlem is the culmination of 20 years of technological advancement focused on the creation of the innovation economy in Harlem as a transplantable model for other urban centers.

What do you see as the most interesting technology on the horizon?
The Interstellar Internet.

If you weren’t working in tech, what would you be doing?
I would be an astronaut.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in your tech career?
Keep imagining!

What can companies do to create more inclusive environments?
Hire more qualified people of color.

What keeps you busy when you’re not being a technologist?
Sci-fi movies and comic books.
